Selling your static caravan privately on the existing Caravan Park depends on the Caravan Park itself – the Caravan Park may not allow the private sale of static caravans at all or they may have an age restriction on static caravans being sold back on their Caravan Park.
If the Caravan Park do allow private sales and your static caravan is not affected by any restrictions then a private sale may be acceptable.
The Caravan Park will charge some form of transfer fee or commission which is usually up to 15% plus vat of the agreed sale price but this can vary from Caravan Park to Caravan Park.
The Caravan Park may also request the opportunity to speak with the potential new static caravan owners – this meeting should take before any funds change hands as the Caravan Park may decide to reject the potential new static caravan owners.
The Caravan Park could be negative towards static caravans being sold privately on their Caravan Park and so may offer incentives for potential new static caravan owners to buy a static caravan from them rather than a private seller.
Incentives the Caravan Park may offer can vary from including free site fees for a period of time to offering a discount on future site fees which a private purchaser would not be offered.
